Since I was a little girl I have always loved to play all sorts of games. Probably the first I really remember playing a lot was Connect Four.
Now I don't want to seem not modest but I was amazing at this game as a really young kid. I used to play with my dad the most until he stopped playing with me. Because I beat him... like all the time. My mom would moan "You're always thinking three moves ahead!" and refuse to play. But I was bitten by the gaming bug. After Connect Four there was Sorry! and Scrabble, Trouble, Yahtzee and a multitude of deck card games and many others. My extended family liked games. Family functions often included card games, charades, and board games before or after vast quantities of food (seriously so much food... so much that it makes me over prepare food for when I have guests now as an adult... Why have just enough food for the 4 people you have over when its just as easy to prepare for 20 kind of thinking!).
As I got older I would often pull out games when my friends were over, or host Murder Mystery parties (those ones with character sheets and a tape of the murder to listen too types). In fact game nights have always been a staple with my friends. In any case I love games, My family loves games, My friends love games. I would say that board games are in a golden age with so many options on the shelves right now.
In my reviews I will address the following in my write ups
Why Did I Buy the Game.
How Much did it Cost Me
Where/Who would I play it with
Actual Game Play
Aesthetics
and How much I like it or not.
Anyhow this is just a brief overview and I hope you will join me as I review and please feel free to comment.
Cheers!
